Frequently Asked Questions

Below are some of the most asked questions.

Innomesh Portal

  • How do I enable Slack or Microsoft Teams integration?

The Slack and Teams integrations are an add-on to the Innomesh services. Contact your Innomate representative for more information or via our website here.

  • Consumption Tab: What does “Room Days Consumed” actually mean?

It is a calculation of the number of room-days that you have consumed in the given period. E.g. if you have 3 rooms that have been up for 7 days, you’ll have a total of 21 room-days if you select the time filter to the last 7 days.

In the above case, if you change your time filter to the last 3 days, it will be 9 room-days in the last 3 days.

  • How do I enable Ops in my tenancy?

The Ops functionality is an add-on to the Innomesh services. Contact your Innomate representative for more information or via our website here.

  • My tenancy does not have an Information tab for images and documents. How do I enable it?

The Information page is an add on to the Innomesh services. Contact your Innomate representative for more information or via our website here.

  • I have a question. How can I contact Innomate?

    You can contact Innomate here.

SpaceVC

  • XPanels are not showing against a room in the Innomesh Portal. How can I resolve this?

Within the Innomesh Room Management Portal, edit the room by clicking on the room’s “pencil” button. Under the “Options” menu, select ‘Update XPanels’, check the XPanels that should be available for this room, then click “Update”. This will now load the XPanel links within the Innomesh Portal.

  • Room memory alert – Room memory is above 2%, how do I resolve this?

The room can be deleted via the Crestron VC-4 web interface. Innomesh will re-provision the room and remove this error.

Innomesh SSO

  • Is Innomate able to provide a signing certificate?

Yes we can, on request. A signing certificate is usually related to the IdP sign-out flow, which we do not usually enable, so in general a signing certificate should not be required.

  • Does Innomesh support IdP-Initiated SSO?

No, it does not. Attempts to do an IdP-initiated SSO will result in an error. Reference

  • My IdP does not have the capability to support authorisation decisions using memberof. Does Innomesh have the ability to assign permissions locally?

We do have the ability to set up authorisation on the service side. It is currently not a user-facing feature, so someone from Innomate will have to set it up for each user authenticated against your IdP. For a small number of users this is not a problem, but as the user base grows having the ability to manage your own users becomes invaluable.

  • Will Innomesh be signing AuthnRequests?

Unfortunately, not at this time, as AWS Cognito currently does not support this feature.

  • Does Innomesh expect unencrypted responses?

    Yes.

  • Does the Innomesh ACS use HTTP-POST binding?

    Yes.  Reference

  • Does Innomesh expect the NameID to be returned as part of the SAML assertion?

Yes – but we do not care for the value, only that it is present.
