What is PDU Association?

A Power Distribution Unit (PDU) supplies power to multiple devices in an environment. The PDU Association feature allows you to control the power state of your assets without the need to separately manage the PDU. When a device is linked to a PDU outlet, the associated power options—Set PDU Power(on/off), and Reboot—become available directly from the asset’s management interface.

This feature simplifies asset management by:

  • Allowing direct power control from the Asset Information View.
  • Reducing the need to separately locate PDU devices to initiate a reboot.
  • Streamlining troubleshooting by making power status information more accessible.

How to Use PDU Association

Setting Up PDU Associations
  1. Open Room Manager and select the device in Devices.
  2. Choose the corresponding PDU and outlet number from the dropdown list.
  3. Save the settings by clicking Update Device to enable seamless PDU control for the asset.
Controlling Power for PDU-Connected Assets
  1. Open the Asset Information View in Innomesh Portal.
  2. If the asset is linked to a PDU, you will see power control options:
    • Set PDU Power
    • PDU Reboot
  3. Click the desired option to set the power state of the PDU or Reboot it.
Status Indicators

If a PDU outlet is turned off, the system will notify users that the associated asset may be offline due to the PDU outlet power being off.

The live status view provides clear PDU connectivity insights for quick diagnostics.
