Innomesh Space VC — Sunset Announcement

Innomate is announcing the planned end of support and end of life for Innomesh Space VC and the VC-4 Gateway. This notice provides the full timeline and details of what each milestone means for your organisation, giving you ample time to plan accordingly.

We are committed to supporting our customers throughout this transition and will provide security patches for Space VC through the End of Life period.

Sunset Timeline

Product Milestone Date
Innomesh Space VC End of Support December 2026
Innomesh Space VC End of Life December 2028
VC-4 Gateway End of Life December 2030

What Each Milestone Means

End of Support — December 2026 (Space VC)

From December 2026, Innomesh Space VC will enter End of Support status. This means:

  • Space VC will no longer be offered to new customers.
  • No new features or product enhancements will be developed.
  • No further driver updates will be released for Space VC.
  • Security patches will continue to be issued for the duration of the End of Life period.
  • Standard technical support from Innomate will remain available until End of Life.

End of Life — December 2028 (Space VC)

From December 2028, Innomesh Space VC will reach End of Life. This means:

  • All support, including security patches, will cease.
  • The product will be fully decommissioned and no further updates of any kind will be issued.
  • Customers are strongly encouraged to have completed any migration or alternative planning well in advance of this date.

End of Life — December 2030 (VC-4 Gateway)

The VC-4 Gateway will reach End of Life in December 2030. This milestone applies the same terms as above — complete cessation of support, patches, and product operation.

The recommended migration path for customers moving away from Innomesh Space VC is to transition their rooms to Innomesh Space CE. Space CE is the current-generation platform and will continue to receive full feature development, driver updates, and long-term support.

When planning your migration, there are two key hardware considerations that must be assessed for each room in your environment.

1. Crestron Touch Panels

Innomesh Space CE requires touch panels that support HTML5. Crestron touch panels prior to the TSW-1060 series do not support HTML5 and are not compatible with Space CE.

If your environment includes any pre-TSW-1060 Crestron touch panels, those panels will need to be replaced with HTML5-capable hardware as part of your migration. We recommend auditing your panel inventory early in the planning process to accurately scope any hardware refresh requirements.

2. Crestron Native Hardware

Where Crestron native hardware in your environment cannot be controlled via alternate integration methods, the VC-4 Gateway provides a supported path to extend the lifespan of that hardware. This allows rooms with such hardware to continue operating within the Innomesh platform beyond the Space VC End of Life date.

However, customers should note that VC-4 Gateway itself reaches End of Life in December 2030. Any Crestron native hardware being managed through the VC-4 Gateway will therefore need to be replaced or re-evaluated ahead of that date. We recommend factoring this into your longer-term infrastructure roadmap to avoid a further forced migration at short notice.

Notable examples of such hardware include Crestron’s CEN-IO RS-232 and digital IO modules, DigitalMedia (DM) matrix switchers and associated extenders, Cresnet-based devices such as legacy Crestron keypads, network bridges and lighting interfaces, and legacy generations of AirMedia devices (AM-100, AM-200, AM-300). Many current generations of Crestron devices support non-native control, including DM-NVX devices, and current generations of AirMedia, and are therefore not affected.

Innomate understands that some organisations may require additional time beyond the milestones listed above. Extended support options are available for customers who need them.
